Illegal illicit financial outflows have led to Zimbabwe losing approximately US$12billion over the last 3 years leading to stunted growth in the economy. Corruption, tax evasion, illegal exploitation, bribery and lack of fiscal transparency are some of the main illicit activities affecting the Zimbabwe economy hence the need for the government to criminalise such activities so as to curb illicit financial outflows.
