The article applauds former Southern African president Thabo Mbeki’s efforts, seven years since leaving office, in spearheading the war against illicit financial flows (IFFs) from Africa, as the head of African Union’s 10-member High-Level Panel on IFFs. Despite the continents great potential, remain a huge challenge, but clearly the solution is global.
