The report illustrates illicit flows and tax dodging and the effects they have Africa. The author provides a key insight to the challenges the African continent is facing, highlighting the necessity for governments to mobilise reliable income in order to ensure sustainable development. The report presents the importance the Panama papers to several African countries. This includes disclosure of information about concealed company structures, and veiled ownership of multinational companies that are extracting oil and diamonds at the continent. The report reveals that conservative estimates state that Africa loses 400 billion NOK1 every year due to illicit capital flows. At the same time millions of African children die every year due to preventable diseases, and tens of millions of children are out of school. In 24 hours more than 1 billion NOK leaves the continent illegally
