These are sentiments echoed during a meeting between Mr Thabo Mbeki, Chair of the AU-ECA High Level Panel on Illicit Financial Flows from Africa and the European Parliament. The session saw the active participation of members of the EP Delegation to the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly, the European Parliament Committee on Development (DEVE Committee) as well as the European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET Committee). The Chairs of all three committees interacted with the Panel and stressed the need to succeed in the fight against IFFs.
