This is an article in which Professor Emmanuel Nnadozie, the head of the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF) expressed confidence that Africa can stem the billions of dollars lost in illicit outflows. He was speaking in Johannesburg this week on the sidelines of the inaugural meeting of the Consortium to Stem Illicit Financial Flows (IFFs) from Africa.Nnadozie expressed confidence that the inaugural meeting would not descend into another talk shop, and that the panel led by Mbeki to counter IFFs has identified key areas that are going to help in the implementation of recommendations that will be adopted at the meeting. The consortium meeting ended on Tuesday the 14th of June 2016, having began on Monday.
