The statement by the governor highlights measures put in place by the central bank to address the cash shortages currently prevailing in the county. The RBZ Governor revealed that Zimbabwe lost about $50 million to Illicit Financial Flows (IFFs) in the first quarter of 2016, as cash externalised from the country remains undetected. The liquidity crisis has triggered the central bank to put in place measures to curb the crisis.
