The article is based on the report by the global financial integrity which reveals that Ethiopia lost US$11.7 billion in illicit financial outflows from 2000 – 2009. The range of Ethiopia’s capital flight is so severe that it exceeds the value of the country’s exports. However, there are ways to curb illicit flows from Ethiopia and this article tries to address the solutions and how the international community can help in hampering illicit flows in Ethiopia.
