This report is the second report, following the Ghana report, in an initiative to create a comprehensive and globally representative series of country reports that touch on diverse tax justice issues. The intent is to analyze a number of structures, including national tax systems, distribution of tax burden and incentive structures, while exploring emerging national or regional themes, making sectoral case-studies, studying inequalities related to the tax system, addressing the extent and practices of tax avoidance and evasion and discussing existing and proposed tax related advocacy issues among stakeholders.
