Uhuru Kenyatta, C.G.H., and President of the Republic of Kenya during the official opening of the 2nd annual general meeting and conference of the African Organisation of Public Accounts Committees (AFROPAC) at Safari Park Hotel, Nairobi Kenya on the 29th August 2016 .The conference was running under the theme, ‘curbing illicit financial flows in Africa’ President. The President called on African parliamentarians to help stop illicit financial flows by fighting corruption in their respective countries. The President also challenged members of Public Accounts Committees (PACs) to foster transparency to ensure prudent use of public resources. The President also signalled concern over the accountability of foreign financial aid and donations and the relationship between PACs and Supreme Audit Institutions. |
