This is an update on transparency and taxation by OECD Secretary General at the occasion of G20 finance ministers meeting held in Washington in April 2016.The report bemoans the use of secrecy to evade taxes as well as to undertake other financial crimes which continues to hurt communities. This report provides an update on the progress made to date to improve global tax transparency, identifying the weaknesses which remain, and outlining possible next steps where the OECD can work to support a collective response that will enhance effective implementation of the tax transparency requirements across the world.
